The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission - CRTC has cleared the path for the launch of several SPI channels in Canada

Global TV operator SPI International/FILMBOX and Ethnic Channels Group Limited (“ECG”), a diversified media company specializing in the aggregation, distribution, acquisition and production of entertainment content, are pleased to announce the decision by the CRTC to add seven SPI channels to the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution.

These seven channels will provide an international variety of content to Canada’s multicultural audience. Their programming includes a Polish language movie channel (KINO POLSKA), a Polish language music television network (KINO POLSKA MUZYKA) and English language channels that include an extreme sports-related channel (FAST&FUNBOX HD), an eSports channel (GAMETOON), an international independent films channel showcasing content from around the world (FILMBOX ART HOUSE), a state-of-the-art entertainment programming in 4K/Ultra HD channel (FUNBOX UHD), and last, but not least a channel dedicated to the world of leading fashion, models, designers, brands and catwalk (FASHIONBOX HD).
