SPI International Acquires Seven New Documentaries from Beyond Rights Limited

SPI International signed a new content acquisition deal with Beyond Rights Limited for all worldwide TV and VOD rights of seven documentaries from the latter’s catalogue. The freshly acquired programming will be available for broadcast on SPI’s linear and digital assets. 

SPI International and global content distributor Beyond Rights Limited have concluded a content acquisition deal which renders seven documentaries, that amount to a total of 23 hours of programming, available for broadcast on SPI’s linear and digital brand assets worldwide. Other platforms will also be able to air the content in their SPI branded corners.

The documentaries included in the agreement are:

Beyond Siberia (2 x 60’) – A group of adventure bikers embark upon a 30,000-kilometer motorbike ride from London to Magadan, pushing themselves and their bikes to the limit.

Inside Story (9 x 60’) – A prime time current affairs series that investigates major crime and inspiring stories and events that hit the headlines in Australia and beyond.

Pets, Vets & Debts (1 x 60’) – This documentary takes the viewer inside veterinary surgeries across the US and Canada to witness cutting edge technology being used to treat pets, even including prostheses.

Beyond Sahara (2 x 60’) – In a thrilling follow-up to Beyond Siberia, this documentary follows 16 motorbike riders across 20,000 grueling kilometers through Africa.

Police- Stop (10 x 30’) – This crime documentary series from the producers of hit crime shows Highway Patrol and Highway Cops, follows the men and women tasked with controlling illegal street racing, dangerous and drink driving, reckless speeding and other road-related crime across the city of Auckland, New Zealand. 

Wild and Dangerous (1 x 60’) – Wild & Dangerous peers into the relationships between people and their exotic pets and examines the issues that come with keeping undomesticated animals.

Cause of Death- Unknown (5 x 30’) – Cause of Death: Unknown explores cases where the circumstances of death may initially appear to be one thing but the investigation ultimately reveals something quite different.
