SPI/FilmBox’s New Advertisement-Based Digital Channel Filmstream Makes Worldwide Debut with Samsung TV Plus

SPI/FilmBox announced that their new ad-based digital channel Filmstream makes its worldwide debut with a launch on Samsung Electronics’ video service, Samsung TV Plus in the UK. Filmstream is the newest addition to SPI’s expansive streaming portfolio and currently features a broad selection of independent movies and world cinema classics.  

SPI/FilmBox, which operates 42 television channels on six continents, continues to design and deliver new products to meet the ever-changing consumer needs. SPI’s new ad-based digital channel Filmstream offers a wide range of independent and classic movies and will initially launch in the UK on Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Electronics’ free Smart TV video service.

Launched 7th May, viewers in the UK are able to watch Filmstream via Samsung TV Plus which comes automatically installed on all 2016-2020 Samsung Smart TVs and offers over 50 channels to users across news, sports, entertainment, and more.

Filmstream’s current catalogue includes independent world cinema gems and classic movies from iconic directors such as Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Fellini and many others. The channel plans to expand its line-up with Hollywood blockbusters and popular hits in the future.
