SPI International’s FightBox Launches on Waoo in Denmark

SPI/FilmBox and Waoo have inked their first distribution deal bringing SPI’s FightBox to Waoo subscribers in Denmark

In a move that marks SPI/FilmBox’s expansion in the Scandinavian market, the global media company announces their first distribution deal with Waoo, Danish pay TV and broadband provider. The agreement between the companies makes SPI’s FightBox available to Waoo subscribers in English, effective as of March 30th 2021.

SPI/FilmBox and ZAP announce that they have signed in 2021 their first distribution deal. The deal renders several products from SPI’s portfolio available to ZAP subscribers in Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde

SPI International continues to expand its footprint across Africa with multiple deals with major operators within the region. The company announces that they have inked their most recent deal with the digital satellite television provider ZAP for Gametoon360 TuneBoxFashionBoxFightBoxFilmBox Arthouse and Fast&FunBox. Viewers in Angola and Mozambique will be able to access these channels via ZAP’s offer.

SPI/FilmBox’s Filmstream Starts Streaming in India with Samsung TV Plus

SPI/FilmBox announced that their new digital ad-based Filmstream will be available in India on Samsung Electronics’ video service, Samsung TV Plus, starting March 30th 2021

SPI/FilmBox continues to expand the global reach of their ad-based digital product Filmstream in new territories through key alliances with industry leaders. Filmstream, which offers a wide range of independent and classic movies, will be available in India starting March 30th 2021 with the launch of Samsung Electronics’ free Smart TV video service, Samsung TV Plus, in the region.

Samsung had announced their plans to roll out Samsung TV Plus in India along with several other European markets, late last year. Starting March 2021, viewers in India will be able to watch Filmstream via Samsung TV Plus which comes pre-installed on Samsung Smart TVs dating back to 2017 and offers ad-supported content spanning news, sports, entertainment, movies and more. Filmstream will also launch on Samsung Galaxy smartphones later in April 2021.

Filmstream’s current catalogue includes independent world cinema gems and classic movies from iconic directors such as Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Fellini and many others. Filmstream plans to expand its line-up with Hollywood blockbusters and popular hits in the future.

SPI’s Filmstream is currently available on Samsung TV Plus in the UK and Australia with more launches coming soon.
