“Bleeding Love” is a deeply moving drama that follows the emotional journey of a father and daughter as they rebuild their relationship. The film follows the character of Ewan McGregor, who takes it upon himself to drive his teenage daughter (played by his real-life daughter Clara McGregor) to a rehabilitation centre. But the journey is about much more than physical displacement: it tells the story of the strength of family bonds, forgiveness, and healing, as a father tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter after a long absence.
What makes the film so special is that Ewan and Clara McGregor are not only the main characters, but also actively involved in the creation of the story. Directed by Emma Westenberg, the film premiered at the prestigious SXSW Film Festival, where it received great acclaim for its authenticity, acting, and honest tone.
