Kino Polska TV S.A. Capital Group Reports Successful Results for 2016

Kino Polska TV S.A. Capital Group announced 2016 year-end results. The Group reported revenues of nearly 114 mln PLN, with the EBITDA exceeding 48 mln PLN.

The Group’s sales revenues increased by 6% comparing to the previous year. This was primarily due to the revenue growth generated from broadcasting movie channels and the Group’s thematic channels. The Group’s EBITDA increased by 7% comparing to 2015.

At the end of 2016 Kino Polska TV S.A. ranked as the eighth largest television group in Poland with an average audience share of 1.90% (SHR 16-49 in December 2016, including the terrestrial channel Stopklatka TV which is broadcast by a company  jointly controlled by Kino Polska TV S.A.). Throughout 2016 Telewizja Kino Polska channel reached an average audience of more than 23 thousand viewers (AMR 4+), an increase of 3.6% comparing to the 2015 results. The channel reported 0.36% SHR of total audience and a similar result across the 16-49 commercial segment.

Zoom TV, a brand new terrestrial channel in the Group’s portfolio was launched in October 2016 in Poland. The network is broadcast by Cable Television Networks & Partners Sp. z o.o., a company controlled by Kino Polska TV S.A. In its first broadcasting weeks Zoom TV achieved promising viewing results and reported steady growth trend:  50% SHR increase in the commercial group for December 2016 in comparison to the previous month.
